K.C. Duke is developing the Sophia Reinhart Series, featuring a world-weary missing persons detective trying to find her way back from a deeply traumatizing experience and complete loss of faith. Hobbled by PTSD, the aftermath has affected her present-day work at the helm of the Baltimore County PD's Missing Persons unit. Her cases-solved rate is way down. She doesn't sleep and has nightmares. and she's angry - at perpetrators and at God. This novel is the first in the series about her quest for truth and reconciliation.
